This vineyard is located near the based of Mt. Vesuvius and approximately a 10 minute drive from Pompeii.
This farm is located in Boscotrecase - in the province of Naples on the slopes of Vesuvius in a famous archaeological area at the center of the polygon defined by the ancient city of Pompeii, Oplontis, Stabia, Herculaneum, five kilometers from the sea, facing the glorified beauty of the Sorrentine peninsula and the islands of Capri and Ischia.
The initiative was now quite successful and this farm aims to provide a meeting place for all who wish to taste wines and visit the vineyard.
Boscotrecase is a town of intense agricultural activity, especially directed to the cultivation of the vine and the production of fine wines.
About the Land
The Vesuvius region is the most extended volcanic area in all of Europe, if we count active explosive volcanoes, even when dormant. This soil is amazingly soluble and sandy by nature, which is beneficial in the natural reproduction of vines, without having recourse to vine grafting on resistant plants.
The owners of the vineyard managed to be innovative pioneers without neglecting tradition, and realized viti-cultural varieties always different and at the same time with the same exceptional quality.
The crown jewel of the farm is Vigna Lapillo, one of the Vesuvius crater’s nearest estates, producing the exclusive “Vigna Lapillo” Lacryma Christi.
The combination of the geologic conformation of Vesuvius slopes, the rare characteristics of volcanic soil and a marvelous microclimate make the territory one of Italy’s most interesting viti-cultural areas, with a traditional inclination and a great potential, not yet fully developed.
About the Wines
Lacryma Christi, (also Lachryma Christi, literally "tears of Christ") is the name of a celebrated Neapolitan type of wine produced on the slopes of Mount Vesuvius in Campania, Italy.
The name Lacryma Christi comes from an old legend that Christ crying over Lucifer's fall from heaven, cried tears on the land and gave divine inspiration to the vines that grew here. The sides of Vesuvius are deeply scarred by past lava flows, and its lower slopes are extremely fertile, dotted with villages and covered with vineyards.
The wine is entirely earthy, but quite enjoyable. The red wine is garnet in color with a pleasant scent of red fruit and white pepper and a juicy, tart flavor with apple-skin flavors and lemony acidity in balance. The white wine is crisp and dry.

Terms of payment and Cancellation Policy
A 50% down payment is due to reserve the above tour. The remaining balance of your payment is due 30 days prior to your tour date. If client books a tour within 30 days of the excursion, the payment is due in full to confirm the tour.
All payments made within 30 days are non-refundable with the exception of cancellation due to unforeseen circumstances by the tour operator.
If the client must change the date, we will do our best to accommodate this request without penalty but there is no guarantee and it is solely based on availability of the tour guide.
