This is a wonderful hands-on cooking lesson with a warm, friendly family in their stunning private villa situated on luxurious grounds in the heart of Sorrento. (This class is NOT located in a hotel)
This cooking lesson is held in a private villa surrounded by a gorgeous manicured garden that includes an impressive array of palms, English meadow, colorful flowers and fountains, including lemon and orange trees, a swimming pool, “Pergolato” and ceramic decorations, all in the heart of Sorrento.
Upon arrival your hosts will welcome you with fresh orange juice and a flavored plum cake. You'll then join the lovely ladies in the kitchen to begin a unique experience learning to prepare delicious local dishes such and spaghetti alle vongole (spaghetti with clams), lemon chicken, eggplant parmigiana, gnocchi, ravioli or another local delicacy - whatever is fresh and in season!
Classes are based on menus of the traditional Italian cuisine, with a particular emphasis on Neapolitan recipes. All the recipes will be clearly demonstrated in a warm and friendly atmosphere.
The cooking lesson itself is approximately 3 hours, during which you will have a break to visit the family's wine cellar for a taste of the family's home made wine made with grapes from the vines that line the path to the villa. This is a very special and unique opportunity to learn about local wines and it is one of the highlights of the day!
At the end of the day, you'll enjoy a delicious meal based on the fruits of your labor - by the pool or under a Pergolato or in a nice winter garden setting indoors near the fireplace.

9:30 am Welcome and taste of the delicious home-prepared plum cake and a glass of fresh squeezed juice
10:00 am Begin your 3 hour cooking lesson based on a multi-course menu using fresh local ingredients
11:30 am - Visit the wine cellar for a tasting of their delicious house wines
1:00 pm - Lunch by the pool or garden (weather permitting)
2:00 pm Return to Sorrento
