Hands-on Seafood-Based Cooking Lesson

This class is held in a beautiful village tucked into the hills near Sorrento and the Amalfi Coast. Transfers available from Sorrento - please inquire.

About your cooking lesson

Cooking is a passion and during your cooking lesson you will learn to create many wonderful regional seafood-based Neapolitan dishes and secrets of traditional Italian cuisine. At the end of your seafood cooking lesson you will taste what you have prepared.  You will enjoy some of the best local  wines, learn some Italian phrases and laugh all along the way!

All classes are hands-on and cooking classes typically are held each morning at 9:30 am or in the afternoon at 4:30 pm; however, the schedule may be altered upon request of the students (based on availability).

Recipes vary according to the season, utilizing only the freshest ingredients available.  You'll discuss how the land, sea, market and garden come together to form the true Italian cooking experience. The best part is the conclusion of the lesson when you will indulge in the success of your creations with a full multi-course Neapolitan meal.  

Sample Menu Items:

  • Antipasto: Either shrimp cocktail or sautè di vongole or alici indorate e fritte or "in carpione"
  • Primo: Either fresh pasta like Gnocchi with seafood or scialatielli with seafood or spaghetti (dried pasta) a vongole (clams)
  • Secondo: Fish filets with orange and lemon flavor or Acquapazza fish or fish packed in salt or fried shrimp and squid
  • Dolce: Tiramisù or babà or caprese or crostata della casa

Minimum of 2 students per class - please inquire if you are a solo traveler, as you may be able to join another group lesson.

DEPOSIT & PAYMENT INFORMATION:

A non-refundable deposit of 40 euro per person is necessary to confirm your booking in a one day cooking lesson with the remaining balance of 80 euro per person due in cash on the day of the lesson.. If the class is canceled by the school, your deposit will be returned in full less wiring fees, if applicable.

Non-cooking friends/family are welcome to join you for lunch/dinner following the meal at a rate of 45 euro per person.

We highly advise you to purchase travel insurance in the event of emergency, illness, change in your itinerary, accident or act of God, which we are not responsible for covering.
